Vol. 2 No. 1 (2024): Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies
Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies (ISSN 3047-2458) is a peer-reviewed open-access scholarly journal published biannually (June and December) by PC Ikatan Sarjana Nahdlatul Ulama (ISNU) Ponorogo, Indonesia, that seeks to facilitate a critical and constructive dialogue among scholars from all research disciplines, especially in social and cultural fields.
In this issue (Vol. 2 No. 1, Dec 2024), this journal publishes five scholarly articles exploring diverse socio-religious, educational, and cultural dynamics. The topics include the utilization of cardboard puppets (Wayang Kardus) as a creative learning medium for preserving local culture in Kediri, youth imitation behaviors driven by Korean dramas among students in Pekanbaru, a hermeneutical analysis of gender equality in the Qur'an through Amina Wadud's perspective, the political culture dynamics of rural traditional clerics (kiai kampung) in Tuban, and the alignment of Bugis-Makassar’s Siri’ na Pacce cultural heritage with Qur'anic values in modern society. Authors contributing to this issue are from Indonesia.
