Vol. 3 No. 2 (2026): Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies

Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies (ISSN 3047-2458) is a peer-reviewed open-access scholarly journal published biannually (June and December) by PC Ikatan Sarjana Nahdlatul Ulama (ISNU) Ponorogo, Indonesia, that seeks to facilitate a critical and constructive dialogue among scholars from all research disciplines, especially in social and cultural fields.

In this issue (Vol. 3 No. 2, June 2026), this journal publishes five scholarly articles exploring diverse socio-religious and cultural dynamics. The topics include a Weberian analysis of conflict resolution in Nigerian Pentecostalism, the transformation of Nahdlatul Ulama’s religious practices amid globalization, NU’s diplomatic perspective on the Palestinian crisis through Humanitarian Islam, the preservation of local Tongklek traditional art by student movements in Tuban, and a critical hermeneutic exegesis of viral da‘wah on social media. Authors contributing to this issue are from Nigeria, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
