Vol. 2 No. 2 (2025): Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies
Besari: Journal of Social and Cultural Studies (ISSN 3047-2458) is a peer-reviewed open-access scholarly journal published biannually (June and December) by PC Ikatan Sarjana Nahdlatul Ulama (ISNU) Ponorogo, Indonesia, that seeks to facilitate a critical and constructive dialogue among scholars from all research disciplines, especially in social and cultural fields.
In this issue (Vol. 2 No. 2, April 2025), this journal publishes five scholarly articles exploring diverse socio-religious, historical, and cultural dynamics. The topics include a sociolinguistic analysis of KH. Maimun Zubair’s theological exegesis on anthropomorphism, a historical survey of the Church's contribution to national development in Nigeria, interreligious dialogue in the Qur’an through Sa‘īd al-Nursī’s Maqāṣid perspective, identity and power negotiations of nobles in premodern Deccan, and the application of Maslahah in Islamic philanthropic distribution for socioeconomic growth in Indonesia. Authors contributing to this issue are from Nigeria, India, and Indonesia.
