Abstract
When bandwidth is not managed or regulated, connected WiFi clients may experience uneven bandwidth distribution, which happens when one client engages in high-bandwidth activities, which drains resources. Therefore, effective management of internet bandwidth is essential to optimize available resources for multiple clients.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Queue Tree technique can be used to optimize bandwidth management on Mikrotik devices. Using this technique, queues based on IP addresses in the mangle will be configured to control bandwidth management on Mikrotik. The waterfall method, which includes requirements, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance, is used in this study.
The results of this study show that the Queue Tree bandwidth management technique improves bandwidth utilization efficiency. Because of this, the available bandwidth is divided equally even when the number of WiFi consumers rises.
