Abstract
This study evaluates the user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) of a mobile attendance application using the Heuristic Evaluation method. The evaluation was conducted based on Nielsen's 10 heuristic principles involving 20 respondents through a questionnaire. The results showed that most aspects received a rating of "Very Good" and "Good", such as system visibility, user control, efficiency, and minimalist design. However, the Help Users Recognize, Diagnose, and Recover from Errors (H9) aspect scored below 65%, so it was categorized as "Quite Good". The main problem lies in the lack of clarity of error messages and the lack of solutions when system disruptions occur. Recommendations for improvement include presenting more informative notifications, automatic suggestions when errors occur, and easily accessible help documentation. These findings indicate that the Heuristic Evaluation method is effective in identifying and fixing usability weaknesses in the early stages of application development.
